To strengthen our Supply Chain Department we are looking for a Customs Manager:
who will lead and handle all the customs activities of SAESB; ensuring that the process is conform to the regulation requirements and to our authorizations, and will act as a point of contact towards the Customs Authorities. He supports the Customs Officer in the daily operations whenever there is a need, proposing improvements to SAESB Customs process.
Your role:
- Responsible for the daily follow-up of the Customs process;
- Ensure that our Customs process is updated and people are involved and trained accordingly;
- Act as a back-up of the Customs Officer;
- Involve the Customs Officer in operations and support the professional development of his/her team;
- Ensure that the actions related to Customs audits or operations meeting are under control and done before the due date;
- Escalate and keep informed the hierarchy about the issues;
- Ensure that the company rules are applied.
Profiel
Your profile:
- You have at least 10 years of experience in customs management and you are familiar with current and specific customs software;
- You demonstrate good communication skills, good practical sense and a sense of initiative while anticipating and taking part in the context of continuous improvement;
- You have a good team spirit and are open and adaptable;
- You speak fluently Dutch and are almost fluent in English;
- You have a good knowledge of IT tools (Office + ERP).
Our wishes:
- You have at least a basic knowledge of French;
- You have experience in people management;
- You have experience in audit.
