Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Sales and Service:

- Ensure staff are knowledgeable and confident about all the Company’s services and retail products
- Monitor the activities of sales staff to ensure customers receive exceptional service
- Be aware of the daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
- Be knowledgeable about all aspects of the airport environment to assist customers and passengers with any queries and ensure the staff are equally conversant
- Provide support to colleagues and Management to continuously improve operational effectiveness
- To train and coach staff through regular reviews and 1-2-1 feedback
- To achieve sales targets and KPI’s as communicated by the Company
- Ensure high standards of Visual Merchandising to create a well organised and enticing shopping environment

- Ensure staff are aware of all internal and external security procedures and regulations
- Ensure that any security issues are acted upon where necessary and reported to Management and/or appropriate authorities
-To be vigilant when dealing with product and monies ensuring that Company procedures are adhered to
- Ensure the banking is done at the end of each shift and that any discrepancies are investigated
- Work with the Terminal Manager to identify and address issues with regard to internal and external losses

- Ensure staff maintain a well-groomed, neat and tidy appearance at all times, in line with the Company uniform and dress code
- Ensure that all necessary security passes and name badges are worn at all times

- Contact your Line Manager if absent or late to allow for any alternative arrangements to be made
- Ensure the staff are aware of absent and sickness reporting procedures

- Ensure all staff are aware of opening and closure procedures and that any late opening or early closing is reported immediately
- Operate daily banking procedures ensuring relevant administration is up to date
- Participate and lead with stock counts as directed
- Report daily feedback on trade to the Terminal Manager and comment on factors affecting trading conditions
- Prepare staff working schedules for the stores ensuring that peak hours and the most efficient way of operating is implemented taking into account flight schedules and seasonal variances
- Assist the Terminal Manager in training, developing and leading the sales team
- Assist in review and disciplinary meetings with HR and the Terminal Manager

Health and Safety
- Be knowledgeable and ensure all staff are aware of fire evacuation procedures
- Ensure that any accidents or potential dangers to staff or customers are acted upon and reported to Management
- Ensure any Health and Safety audit reports are acted upon and actioned
- Ensure welfare of all members of staff in relation to working conditions


· Experience of motivating and managing a team

· Commercial awareness

· Confident

· Highly organised and able to work under pressure

· Excellent communication skills

· Positive and enthusiastic with a can do attitude

. Good knowledge of English, Dutch and French
